Young Forum Gastein Scholarship
We are pleased to announce that the European Health Forum Gastein (EHFG) would like to once more offer a number of Young Forum Gastein scholarships (registration fee, travel and accommodation expenses) to young professionals working on health issues, to enable them to attend the 2017 EHFG as Young Forum Gastein scholars. It offers a unique opportunity to learn about current developments in Europe and to network with a number of high level experts in the sphere of health.
We would be grateful if you could disseminate the attached information to suitable candidates from your institution who fit the requirements below, and encourage them to access the Young Forum Gastein website for further details.
Requirements for applicants are as follows:
Citizenship of one of the 28 EU Member States or candidate countries or EFTA countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland);
Age limit of 35 years or under on 3rd October 2017;
Proficiency in English (oral and written);
Hold a Masters degree in a health related subject;
Relevant work experience of at least 2 years (full time) in the field of health/public health (policy or research);
The Young Forum Gastein Scholarship is a joint initiative of the EHFG and the European Commission. It was initiated in 2007, to enable promising young health professionals to attend the annual EHFG conference for learning and networking. In the framework of an engaging and stimulating dedicated programme, the scholarship offers a unique opportunity for young professionals to develop public health competencies, network with senior health experts, learn about current health developments, and join a unique enterprise that facilitates learning and networking both throughout the year and during a tailored programme in the margins of the annual EHFG conference. This year’s Young Forum Gastein was made possible by fundings from the Robert Bosch Stiftung
The 20th EHFG will take place from 4th – 6th 2017 in Bad Hofgastein Austria, with the Young Forum Gastein programme activities commencing one day before the start of the main conference on the 3rd October. In the attached document, you will find detailed information about the requirements for participating and the documents to be submitted by candidates in order to apply for the scholarship.
